Vick Allen has done it again! His latest single "Trying To Break Up My Home" has hit number 1 on the leading Southern Soul Top 20 countdown on the American Blues Network known as Party Blues and Oldies. This marks the 5th top hit for Vick Allen from his momumental album, Truth Be Told. The other top hits were, Forbidden Love Affair, I'm Hooked, If You Can Beat Me Rockin, I Need Some Attention.

Vick Allen becomes the first artist to score 4 number 1 hits from the same album and 5 top 5 hits on the American Blues Top 20 Countdown. Congratulations to Vick Allen.

Soul 1st Artists to hit Gadsden AL

For the first time ever, Soul 1st artists, Omar Cunningham, Vick Allen and Mose Stovall with perform on the same show, December 27th in Gadsden AL at Club 231. "We are so excited to finally bring theses artists together on the same show said, CEO, Reg McDaniel". It is my hope that we can do a Soul 1st tour in 2010.

Omar Cunningham a native of Gadsden has not performed there in over 3 years and looks forward to bringing his live show to his hometown. "I've grown a lot since the last time and the place was packed then, so I look forward to giving Gadsden a hell of a show," Cunningham said. Omar has won all major Southern Soul music awards in the last two years including Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Southern Soul Artist of the Year. His current album Time Served, also was named top Southern Soul LP by Blues Critic and has been highly acclaimed in the U.S. and overseas. His current hit, "The Right Woman" is currently riding high on the charts.

Vick Allen has been especially hot in the Gadsden/Anniston areas with his new cd, Truth Be Told and the hits, Forbidden Love Affair and I'm Hooked.

I'm Hooked, the hot new single from Vick Allen reaches the number one spot for the 3rd week on the American Blues Network Top 20 Countdown. This is the second straight No. 1 song off Vick Allen's new cd titled, "Truth Be Told" on Soul 1st Records. Vick in a recent interview with Tyrone "Da Don" Robinson, said " I am humbled by the fan reaction to my new song, I'm Hooked. I try to give the fans music they can appreciate and I'm Hooked is one of the best songs on my new album, Truth Be Told."
Vick Allen spent a record 7 weeks at top of the American Blue Network Top 20 earlier this year with the megahit, "Forbidden Love Affair".
